About Doug Smith
My Grandfather, Warner Kimball, inspired my love of photography. Our adventures with the camera when I was a child instilled in me a love of the outdoors, wildlife, and the importance of saving and sharing memories through photography. After many years as an educator, I am now able to follow my dream of continuing the adventure I started with my grandfather. As a photographer, grandparent and avid traveler I now share my photographs of stunning landscapes and everyday life events that I capture each time I venture out with my camera. I hope these photos will stir a memory or motivate you to seek an adventure of your own.

Thank you…and glad you like my blog. You motivate me to be better. Thank goodness for grandparents as mine were a powerful and positive influence on me. I read a little on your blog, love it. I’m on the road with limited access so more will be coming your way later. I do love the wild horses..I was able to photograph the Prior Mountain Mustangs a couple of years ago..they are something!

Sometimes I believe grandparents are a bigger influence than the parents. At least my grandmother was. My mother died when I was a child, but my grandmother was a great source of inspiration. She gave me my first camera when I was 5 years old, and took me out on many adventures around the world (Spain, Alaska, Hawaii, New York..)
Thank you for your kind words!
Mustangs are interesting. I would love to capture the Pryor mountain ones with my camera 🙂 Have a wonderful day!
